| Child Care Assistance |
|
Your Union and your Employer know how difficult it can be to find dependable, affordable child care. Therefore, the Plan provides a child care assistance benefit for you. The children of your dependents are not covered for child care assistance under the Plan. If you are covered for child care benefits under any other source, check the section titled "Coordination of Benefits" to see how to submit your claims. Your benefit provides for child care at one of these "network" centers or one of the approved "non-network" centers. After school care is also provided at various facilities. Your child care benefit covers day care facilities, summer camps and before and after school programs. all approved centers are licensed by the Department of Public Welfare ("DPW") or their respective state licensing agencies and meet all state requirements for basic child care centers. Network Centers The network centers are owned and operated by Time for Tots, Inc./Tot-Time The network centers are open from 6:30 a.m. through 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You pay only $3 per child per day for a half-day of child care (up to 5 hours) and $6 per child per day for a full day. The Plan pays the remainder of the cost. The network centers are listed in the box below. If you would like more information about the network centers, please contact Time for Tots at (610) 272-8085 or 1-800-294-9697. Non-Network Centers If it is inconvenient for you to use one of the network centers, there are also many non-network centers available. Any program licensed by the Department of Public Welfare may be eligible to enroll with Time for Tots, Inc./Tot Time as an approved non-network center. If you use a non-network center, you will be reimbursed up to $10 per child per day, up to 5 days per week. Any program licensed by the DPW may be eligible to enroll as an approved non-network center. Child care services at family home day care centers are not reimbursable, since they are nor required to meet the same criteria for licensing by the DPW or respective state licensing agency. Also, please note that if your child attend a summer camp program, that program must also be licensed by the PDW or respective state licensing agency in order to qualify as a reimbursable expense under the non-network child care benefit. Attendance sheets must be submitted for reimbursement no later than 90 days from the date of service in order to be considered for payment. If you would like to use your child care assistance benefits, or would like more information about the network or non-network centers, please contact the Fund office. |
