If you enroll with a participating dentist

You will be required to choose a primary care dentist from a list of participating dentists who have agreed to provide services to our participants at reduced fees. This primary care dentist will provide you with most dental services. If you need to see a specialist, your primary care dentist will refer you to another dentist in the Dental Plan's network who practices the appropriate specialty. Please refer to the Participating Dental Providers brochure for a list of the participating specialty dentists.

If you enroll with a non-participating dentist

If you choose to receive care from a dentist or specialist who is not a participating dentist, the Plan will still pay benefits, but at a lower rate than if you had used a participating dentist.
